I recenlty found out my friend told her 6 year old son that there isn't really a Santa Claus, even though he still beleived in Santa.
I think Santa is the one pure innocent thing children have now a days and taking that away so young is unfair.
How old do you think a child should be told about Santa?
Personally my parents never actually told me, I belived for so long until I just figured it out. They still stuff my stocking and leave an unwrapped prestent under the tree for me. I'm 27 and don't even live with them anymore. =)
I think what your parents did was the right thing. Why tell a child? If a child asks, and asks and they are still young you tell them if you BELIEVE he is real. Just because you don't see something doesn't mean it actually exist. Your parents sound really cool, you are lucky.. =)
My friend is 12, and he still belives in Santa Claus. I think its creepy, even though his parents told him, he still belives he's real... Creepy

With the 3 or so "spreadsheet" applications, they each have, albeit unique, functions which are able to extract the day of the week from a given date [reference]. What all these programs have in common is a function the results in a numerical day of the week rather than a day name. For example, while setting aside application specific parameters of each application, the weekday / day of week function would render "1", an integer, to represent "Sunday", the string result thought of the dayI'm attempting to reach as a result. shortness breath relieved yawningUncontrollable yawning, shortness of breath what could it be?
tomorow marks day 7 of this wierd condition.
basicly 6 days ago i started yawning and i keep feeling this strange mild shortness of breath. it feels as if im holding my breath though the rest of my body is perfectly fine. this feeling only goes away when occasionaly ( maybe every 5 - 10 min) i take a REALLY deep yawn and then i feel relieved for about 30 seconds with a pinch of lightheaded. and then it comes back.
well the wierd thing is 5 days after i had it (yesterday) i woke up perfectly calm and i did not yawn. (i might have yawned once or twice when i woke up but that sounds normal) today though in the morning i woke up to go to work and it started again and very constant. By now my back hurts ( i think from my lungs expanding to max capacity so much) and i also feel mild pain in the very middle of my chest, by that bone area there which is probably same cause. ( not the heart at all)
so how possibly serious MIGHT this be? maybe it is stress? im not tired at all...

Sounds like anxiety...(something I'm very familiar with)...the more you pay attention to that feeling the harder it gets to take a deep breath...yawning tends to help breathe fully which is why you ARE yawning...get checshortness breath relieved yawningked out absolutely, but chest pains and anxiety are common.
Just my unprofessional opinion but I have the exact same thing. I chalk it up to several factors. Not enough exercise, eating too much fatty foods, being overweight and after years of this, having a heart that has weakened and can't pump enough oxygen to my 250lb frame. One thing that helps is..
.. a lot of stretching first thing in the morning when you wake up. Start with your feet, stretching different muscles as you get the urge. You'll get uncontrollable, deep yawning but after about 10 minutes the yawns go away and you feel great. ...
Obviously though, a more healthy lifestyle is the best solution. I know from experience that if I drop 50blbs all of those yawning, shortness of breath and palpitating heartbeats.. excessive tiredness after eating ... it all goes away once you start eating right, exercising and losing weight.
Yawning is great for your lungs.. but too much will lead to hyperinflation which is why your back and chest is hurting because the compliance of your lungs when you yawn pushes against theshortness breath relieved yawning muscles behind your lungs and also pushes against your intercostal muscles in the front. You'll notice that it is between your ribs that hurts, not just your chest. Yawning can be decreased by getting enough sleep at least 8hrs a day. If you've not been getting that much, you can also try sleeping in the afternoon to catch up your sleep. Try to not work your self to the extreme daily and exercise and get a very well nourished diet.

I would go to the emergency room immediately, as it can lead to heart attack, or lung collapse, or peritinitus.

Does it bother you when other people look in your buggy or basket when you are in a store? The other day I was shopping and was picking up some "things" and an older ladt was walking beside me and looked in my buggy and made a comment on the "things" that were in side my buggy. It really got under my skin because frankly it is none of her business what was in MY buggy. In fact it kinda bugs me if I see someone looking in my buggy even if they dont comment on it. So I just wonder if I was the only one that was bothered by such a thing?

The best you can do is try to be nice. You never know what type of day that person is having or what's going on in their life...they might be reaching out for a small sliver of civil human contact by striking up a conversation about your grocery items.

so a couple of years ago, travis roy came to our school to do a presentation. he was an excellent hokey player aspiring to do great things. he finally made it to play at boston university (i think, not positive) and within the first seconds (10 or 11ish) he was hit and was paralyzed for the rest of his life. his speech was moving and motivating and he told us how only one centimeter of his spinal cord is damaged and that is all that is keeping him paralyzed. i dont fully comphrehd stem cell research but he said with it, he would be able to fix the one centimeter and walk again and play hockey. since then i have been adament about the issue but i know i dont fully understand it and my opinion is obviously ignorant of what it really is. i have been reading my sisters keeper by jodi picoult (amazing, highly recommended) and the saboston university hockey player paralyzedme issue is brought up in a different light, rekindling my interest. any input is appreciated!

One should be so lucky as to hear Trace Adkins and Brad Paisley on the radio or on CMT nowadays with how much Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood, Rascal Flatts and Keith Urban are played on both CMT and radio! Honestly, Swift and Underwood usually have at least one song played per hour on my local station...with Paisley--even though he's very popular--I usually don't hear more than one or two of his songs a day! the girl i love poemsQuestion concerning girls, love poems, within a specific event.?
I began university about a month ago and moved into the university accommodation. each floor has bedrooms and a shared common room. theres a girl that i liked alot. she's doing the same course as me, i talked to her fairly often, helped her with homework a couple of times when she needed it, seemed to get along well i thought. there was another guy who seemed into her but i didnt think much would come of it since he seemed to be constantly be trying to talk to her and crack jokes, to the point when he seemed a bit fake and his motives transparent, and i thought it was important to give her some space and respect, not come off too desperate. i'll be honest, i've never even had a girlfriend before. i dont think im ugly really, but im having second thoughts now. i've always been the nice guy i guess, quite quiet although not to the point i cant have a decent converstion. im fairly large but i've always shunned shows of machoism because it always just represented insecurity to me and i find things like intellect and humility to be much more important.
because perhaps i dont have much confidence or experience, i've never really made much of a move on girls. i've tried to present myself as an interesting person with a variety of hobbies and opinions, and sure, girls seemed impressed that i could cook fancy things, solve rubiks cubes, play guitar the girl i love poemsetc. sorry if that sounded a bit arrogant, im simply trying to state things as they seem to me, not boast about anything. the thing is, being momentarily impressed is about where it stopped. i got a couple of compliments about it, it became old news, and that was the product of all that.
so, i thought, i need something definitive if i was to get anywhere. poetry is something i like to think i have a knack for, so i had a try at making a love poem. i dont think it was bad, i tried to keep it from turning into a typical cheesy overly romantic love poem, but kept it eloquent and i had some genuine thoughts and opinions within it, about how i felt about her. even then i doubted if it would be a good idea to give it to her, but i was at the point where i was desperate for any reaction at all. it was probably the first time that i had explicitly made my feelings clear to a girl, and i still was apprehensive about it, so i made it annonymous, typed it on computer, and slipped it under her bedroom door when she was out. if her reaction to it was positive, perhaps i could tell her i wrote it.
that was last night. today, i got my reaction. of all the reactions i had considered, total alienation wasnt one of them. apparently, they got together and decided i must have been the one who wrote it, seeing as the girl is avoiding speaking to me, and the rthe girl i love poemsest seem somewhat evasive. none have raised the matter directly to my face, and i cant raise it without showing i knew of the poem. i thought they'd have at least thought it was the other guy who likes her who'd made it, im not the only one who's realised how much he clings to her, but he must've got in before i could and asserted he had no part to play in the poem making. he seems to be enjoying my apparent defeat, think i may have heard him say something along the lines of "he would deny it anyway if you asked him" after i walked out of a room.
so, i guess my question is, is this what i get for my sincerity? the only person here probably who has revealed his true feelings and i feel suddenly like an outcast, like i have broken a hidden code among us that all must play act on the surface or be branded a freak.
Just say you thought it'd be kinda cool that you done it that way and joke about it like " I was watching Simpson's coz there was nothing on and Bart tried it and it worked, well after a guy see's that he's gotta try it out right? " then laugh 'kay?
Live your life like normal act like it's no big deal, next time maybe write a song on your guitar and play it to her while looking at the stars or something romantic like that. Gd Luck!

Seriously, there must be other reasons why McCain, Bush, and Cheney want to stay in Iraq. I know one of the reasons is Oil, which is for Bush and Cheney. But that is not one of the reasons McCain wants to stay in Iraq, John McCain is not and has never been involved in Oil affairs, he was never involved in an Oil business and neither was his father or grandfather. So why does McCain want to stay in Iraq? Why does he love war so much? My daughter is having her 2nd birthday party and I am going all out with the whole Ladybug theme.
I need a little help when it comes to the main dish, side dishes, snacks and other items. I want to try as hard as possible if I can to make the food almost look like ladybugs or go with the black and red part of it. But I want to try and have it some what easy when it comes to preparations!
I have seen the crackers with tomatoladybug party foodes and black olives, and the strawberries with grapes, but I need other ideas. Especially since her party is in the beginning of March its still cold and not seasonal.
Ladybug Apples with Chocolate: Cut red apples in half, core them and take out the seeds.
Using a toothpick, make tiny holes into the skin of the apple and insert 拙克力 chips (point side in) into the skin. Serve on a piece of lettuce.
Make Ladybugs on a Log: Fill celladybug party foodery stick “logs” with raspberry cream cheese, and add dried cranberries on top.
Make different kind of sandwiches and cut them with a flower cookie cutter (ladybugs love flowers).
And of course, strawberries, cut in half, with 拙克力 chip pieces as the spots.
What a great party idea, have fun!
