trust in god versesWhy don't churchgoers trust God on these verses'1cor.14:34

1cor.14:34-35 Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience as also saith the law.

35 And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.

If you trust Him when He says that you are saved, why can't you obey those verses?
This questions was asked

WE do trust God and God told us to obey Matthew 28:19 --even in 2 Corinthorians 4: 13 we speak--we preach.

Why is it all other scripture (besides what Paul wrote in his letters) tells us to go and preach?

when you twist scripture to have it mean what you would prefer (as Satan did in Matthew 4:4) then you become a false prophet and make Paul into a liar/one who contradicts himself thereby making him a false prophet also.
The Apostle Paul did not really take Gal. 3:28 seriously.

This is purely a cultural matter: Paul lived in a culture where women were expected to be subordinate.

The biblical prohibitions against women pastors are given because women were not as well educated as men

It is easy for thtrust in god versese man to hold to a hierarchical position since men are not required to submit

The hierarchical organizational patterns are only necessary because of sin; that is, if people had never sinned, there would be perfect functional equality.
Corinthians is a letter written to the people in the town of Corinth, not an excerpt of something that God said.

It therefore reflects the opinions of the times, that women were inferior.

In modern society, both genders are viewed as... well, i would say equals by the church, but thats not really true since women can't become priests...

Wait, there you go! This passage must be why women aren't allowed to be priests. Duh... thanks! I actually learned from this question, lol.
why do you keep asking this?

Why?

who are you faceless book?

It was written in a different time. God made man, He also made women. And he knows how the world has changed as well as how our roles have changed. Maybe men started slacking so he gave women the desire to think and feel for themselves.. Maybe the majority of feminist movements were started by God.
It was meant as in the bible as that the Man is the one that speaks and is supposed prtrust in god versesotect but the women is to follow and watch over; both silently expect w/ consent from the husband. now days women have much better rights. the bible is good but this is a little dumb
Do you suffer from OCD?

You constantly post these same two verses. You are never going to get everyone to agree with you. They have read the entire chapter and know what is really being said here.
Thanks for the points. Now could you please shut your trap? Or unplug your computer and engage in other activites besides getting on Y!A and annoying the hell out of other people every few hours.
A lot of women nowdays are raised a lot differently than then... like, no father figure to look up to EXCEPT our heavenly father!
I understand what your saying, but I also have to say that there are plenty of prophetess' in the bible also.
" That was in a segregated synagogue! " They would have to yell to one another from across the room.
Spamulator engaged.
Did the gay holy spirit write this part......it hates women
who do you trust
WOW. i have never heard that verse before.....

i really have no idea... i got to tell ask this to my bible teacher...
